Volga Neuroscience Meeting 2018

July 22-27, 2018
Nizhny Novgorod – Samara – Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

Volga Neuroscience Meeting 2018 (VNM-2018) took place on board the riverboat “Mikhail Frunze” cruising from Nizhny Novgorod to Samara and back to Nizhny Novgorod on 22-27 July 2018. VMN-2018 became the second neuroscience conference in Russia in such format. The main organizer of the conference was the UNN Institute of Neuroscience. The meeting was opened by the speech of Prof. Evgeny Chuprunov, Rector of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod (UNN). There were two parallel sections: “Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience” and “Neurodynamics and Artificial Intelligence”. In addition, the meeting included three satellite workshops “Systems Biology and Age-Related Diseases”, “Cognitive Neuroscience” and “Neuromorphic and Neurohybrid Systems”. Young participants had a chance to present their research at two poster sessions. In the framework of the poster session, the best poster competition was organized by Elsevier Russia. The meeting participants’ vote determined the winners: Alexander Lazutkin, Ekaterina Morozova and Luis Abrego. The abstracts of the VNM-2018 are available in printed version and online in Opera Medica et Physiologica, an international journal published by Lobachevsky University. The dates and route of the next conference, Volga Neuroscience Meeting 2020, will be announced later.
