Cruise information
The Volga Neuroscience Meeting 2018 will be held on board a comfortable boat cruising from Nizhny Novgorod to Samara and back along the Volga River. “Mikhail Frunze” is a four-deck boat built at the Komarno Shipyards (former Czechoslovakia). At 4,050 tonnes, “Mikhail Frunze” is one of Russia’s biggest river cruise ships currently in service with Vodohod company.

Each cabin has a large scenic window, a WC/shower, a wardrobe, a 220 V mains socket, a radio, and an air conditioner.
The conference boat will depart on July 22 from Nizhny Novgorod. Departure details will be announced in the information letter before the trip. You will visit several great and ancient cities of the Volga region, rich in history and architecture. This fascinating route features many beautiful sights and gives the participants a unique opportunity to become familiar with Russia’s history and nature. Our boat will make a round tour and return to Nizhny Novgorod on July 27. The format of the Meeting and the informal atmosphere of the river cruise will stimulate active discussions and links between scholars and will give a brilliant opportunity for the participants to get familiar with the Russian history and nature. In addition to sightseeing and tours on the cruise route, our social program for the participants and accompanying persons will include music concerts on board and the symposium dinner.

Next, a night tour of Nizhny Novgorod (from 21.00 to 23.00 on July 27) will take you to the most scenic places of this ancient city.
After the tour, the participants will be transferred by bus to the airport or to the railway station.
